Managing your deposition business through disruption, COVID-19 Update
Our Dear Clients,
We hope that you, your family and colleagues are healthy and have weathered all our recent challenges safely.
We have been closely monitoring the latest news, guidance, and regulations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. To date, shelter-in-place efforts have helped to slow the spread of the virus and we have supported these efforts by solely offering remote deposition services. This enabled the deponent, counsel and the reporter to be at remote locations so no one had to be exposed to the virus. We are now beginning a phased and careful approach to reopening our offices and also enable in-person depositions.
Starting June 15th, while we still recommend remote options, we will begin the reopening process in our various offices. This means we can now offer both in-person and remote deposition services at most of our U.S. locations. Please contact our calendar team at 800.222.1231 or firstname.lastname@example.org for the most up-to-date information on location openings and to book your next deposition.
We assure you that Barkley has taken extensive measures to meet or exceed all CDC standards for cleaning and minimizing the risk of exposure when you’re in our office, including:
- Providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to all staff
- Requiring all office visitors wear PPE
- Ensuring hand sanitizer is readily available and frequently used by staff
- Setting meeting room capacities to allow for social distancing
- Disinfecting our conference rooms and employees work areas after each use
With this change, please know that we will continue offering our complete suite of Remote Deposition Services for those who prefer the remote option.
I am also excited to introduce a new, unique and special option for remote depositions— “Platinum Remote.” When requesting this option, we will provide a host present throughout the entire deposition to assist, troubleshoot and handhold the participants. Additionally, the host will present parties’ previously provided and potential exhibits at the deposition, and also assist and train the witness on exhibit annotation. This option also includes a video recording of the testimony synchronized with the transcript, with or without exhibits.
As we’ve said before, change is difficult but whatever your needs, we are confident our team can assist and support you. We truly think of our clients as family and will go the extra mile for you.
Thank you for trusting us for more than 45 years for all your deposition and interpreting needs.
All the best from your Barkley Family,
Mason Farmani, CEO | Managing Partner
