Pat Barkley
Pat Barkley, founder, has distinguished herself as a leader in the court reporting community. Graduating from court reporting college in 1972 with the Highest Achievement Award, she scored among the top ten persons taking the state certification exam. In 1983, Ms. Barkley was admitted to the prestigious President/Key Executive program of the School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University and received her MBA in 1985. Her thesis, Attorney Attitudes Toward Court Reporters is still considered one of the leading authoritative writings about the court reporting industry. In 1992, chosen out of more than 45,000 candidates, she was the first woman in the history of the University School of Business and Management to receive the Distinguished Alumna Award. She has served on the Board and as a mentor to graduate students in the MBA Program. In addition to participating in Harvard University's Women Leading Business conference, Ms. Barkley was recognized by Woman in Business and the Los Angeles Business Journal for her outstanding achievements in business and contributions to her community.
